pgAdmin is designed to provide support for creating and managing PostgreSQL databases. pgAdmin III is connecting to PostgreSQL via the native libpq library.
Moreover, pgAdmin has been developed in C++ and is using the wxWidgets (formerly wxWindows) cross platform toolkit.
The pgAdmin utility will display the database structure in the main window and you can easily create a new connections via the Add server menu or toolbar button.
Furthermore, pgAdmin also allows you to view the server status and start or stop it, by using the Control server panel.
